Employers are often faced with the daunting task of separating the marketing hype from the facts. SuperRatings’ clear and concise reporting to employers allows suppliers to be selected on their merits rather than on their marketing budgets. SuperRatings have managed supplier projects for a number of companies including the following organisations: International Waste Disposal company* with 1,000 members in a stand alone corporate fund. Retained SuperRatings to assist with the selection of an appropriate multi-employer superannuation fund due to the increasing costs associated with maintaining the corporate fund. International Construction company* with 480 members in a stand-alone corporate fund. Retained SuperRatings to manage a multi-stage project including: review of current arrangements; supplier tender; education roll-out and member presentations across various work sites; transition management to co-ordinate legal requirements, communication and administration issues. International U.K. Bank* with relatively recent start up operations in Australia. Retained SuperRatings to assist with the restructure of their employee benefit packages. Assisted with the selection of suitable superannuation fund given that staff had historically used their own personal funds. Assisted with reviewing appropriate insurance covers and integration of same into salary packages. * SuperRatings respects the confidentiality of all client dealings. Specific references can be provided by emailing us at enquiry@superratings.com.au Independence is critical when seeking advice on potential suppliers. If your organisation is currently using a superannuation advisor who is remunerated through commission payments from your fund, perhaps it is time to review your options. Whilst there are a number of professional advisors in the industry there is a clear trend towards employers preferring a fee for service model of advice. If you don’t know how much your advisor is getting each year then it is probably too much! SuperRatings’ process, tailored to each employer’s needs, allow employers and members to establish a degree of confidence (or otherwise) in their fund of choice. Our experience is that employers who attempt to run tenders themselves often focus too heavily on one or two particular issues which can lead to incorrect considerations being made. This issue is exacerbated as many marketing documents are presented in a way that ignores key issues. In short there are many traps for the uninitiated. SuperRatings is a totally independent Australian owned company. Apart from professional fees charged for research, SuperRatings does not receive any commission or other payment from any superannuation fund or their related entities. This allows us to be totally impartial when applying our review process and ensures our market credibility is always retained. With one of the largest superannuation databases in Australia, and some of the most respected personnel, SuperRatings is well placed to provide professional and independent assistance to employers. Our remuneration is purely fee based and time related. References are freely available from clients. |
